BICP Role
Provided post-tensioned integrated floor system design and professional construction services
Key Conditions
Located in Qufu, Shandong, the project is part of the Science and Technology Innovation Industrial Park infrastructure. The 2# production workshop has a total floor area of approximately 17,846 m², with 10,213.9 m² of post-tensioned floor. The floor was divided into 5 bays based on functional zones, load distribution, and soil conditions, with the largest bay measuring 63 m in length and 2,870 m² in area.
02

Project Challenges

Traditional industrial floors have numerous saw cuts, leading to edge spalling that disrupts forklift and AGV operations and production continuity. High demands for flatness, durability, and low maintenance in clean, heavy-load, and high-traffic environments require a floor system that balances load capacity, soil conditions, production workflow, and lifecycle costs.

03

Proposed Solution

Adopted the Taiping® post-tensioned integrated floor system with reduced saw cuts by approximately 80% through prestressing. Finite element analysis was used to model soil-structure interaction, and BIM 3D layout ensured precise construction. The proprietary ST-NSM post-tensioning anchorage system (Shente New Materials) was employed. All 5 bays were poured within 14 days.

Technical Implementation

Recently, BICP successfully completed the pouring of the post-tensioned integrated floor system for the 2# production workshop of the Qufu Economic Development Zone Science and Technology Innovation Industrial Park supporting infrastructure project. The largest single bay measured 63 m in length with an area of 2,870 m². In coordination with the general contractor, BICP delivered a systematic post-tensioned floor design and professional construction.

Project Overview

  • Location: South of Chunqiu East Road, east of Jingtai Expressway, Qufu, Shandong
  • Total floor area: approx. 17,846 m², including 10,213.9 m² of post-tensioned floor
  • Divided into 5 bays based on functional zones, load distribution, soil conditions, and construction logistics; largest bay: 63 m long, 2,870 m²

Solution Highlights

  • Taiping® post-tensioned integrated floor system reduces saw cuts by approximately 80%, minimizing edge spalling, dust, and step displacement, while enhancing flatness and durability
  • Finite element software used for coupled analysis of soil and floor stresses, deformations, and settlements, ensuring safe and economical design
  • BIM 3D layout for precise construction coordination and clear communication among all parties
  • Proprietary ST-NSM post-tensioning anchorage system (Shente New Materials) ensures construction quality
  • Construction period: September 7 to September 20, all 5 bays poured within 14 days

Applicability

  • Taiping post-tensioned integrated floor system is suitable for industrial facilities and underground garages
  • For cold storage facilities, UHPC integrated floor or UHPC long-lasting repair is recommended instead
  • iBLM TaiShu Cloud (AI-powered engineering project digital management platform) can assist in multi-scheme comparison during the design phase, but final results must be reviewed by professional engineers
